Individual Counseling and Therapy

At Tropical Oasis drug rehab center, residents receive comprehensive individual counseling and therapy where they get the opportunity to clarify and address important issues relating directly or indirectly to there addiction and other co-occurring issues.  Therapy sessions between the residents and there therapist occur at least once per day, and our medical staff is available for consultation with clients daily.

Educational Lectures

One of the most important components of a drug rehab center is education about the disease of addiction and other co-occurring disorders.  For most, addicts do not understand the nature of addiction nor that addiction is a disease.  It is important to provide honest, current information in a way that leaves out blame or shame.  Instead, we aim to take responsibility for our disease and for our lives.  In our educational lectures, clients learn about important issues such as:

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a process by which clients are given the opportunity to express life issues with other residents in a safe and supportive environment.  Tropical Oasis staff facilitates all group therapy.  Group therapy offers clients an opportunity to give and receive feedback about issues and problems affecting their life.  In group therapy, clients get to feel relief knowing that there are others traveling on the same path of life and are comforted knowing they are not alone.

Medication Management

While medications are often necessary and can help a person to function better, it is essential that they be managed responsibly.  With a wide variety of medications, misuse or mismanagement can be dangerous.  Tropical Oasis drug rehab center ensures that medications are dispensed by qualified medical staff and are as prescribed by the attending physician or psychiatrist.
